In this blog, I am going to break down everything you need to know about the 'RISE' life skills programme.
That way, you’ll know, if it’s right for you.
The original THRIVE self-development programme has been running since January 2019. The programme has evolved every time it has been delivered, and in 2022 it was becoming more apparent that there were other topics that people wanted to cover.
It felt like it was time to introduce a new programme to the mix.
Cue, once again, Zoe sitting on the floor with post-it notes, pens and paper to brainstorm the topics that were coming up in Coaching sessions and in conversations with individuals.
.. a couple of coffees, and many, many, post-it notes later, The 'RISE' Life Skills Programme was created.
Self-development courses and programmes are an investment of both your time and money and working on yourself is a very personal journey. You need to find the right coach and the right programme for you.
I want to give you a good overview of the programme to help you determine if this is a good next step in your journey. You can, of course, talk this through with me if you prefer, and book a quick call here.
What is RISE?
RISE is a structured, 12-week life skills programme. It is all held online to help you to focus on yourself, and make improvements across all areas of your life.
12 topics to help you learn, reflect and challenge yourself to make changes.
Tools, strategies, and frameworks designed to help you to 'Rise to be a better version of you'
RISE will mirror the format of THRIVE as this has worked so well, and had excellent feedback from participants.
The content and delivery style are relaxed, friendly, and tailored to each group of participants with my promise, and commitment, to help you get as much out of the programme as possible.
What problems will the RISE lifeskills programme solve?
Teach you tools, strategies and frameworks to help you with life
Help you understand yourself and others around you
Help you to grow and evolve as a person
Increase your confidence
Why was the RISE life skills course created?
My coaching and self-development journey started with a group programme. I attended a group self-development training programme and found that being with other people as part of the programme really helped me to move forward.
The programme helped me to understand myself better. This helped me to understand other people around me better, and the support of others on the programme helped me to challenge myself to make many much-needed changes.
In 2014 I became a licensed in-house trainer for the same programme. For every programme I delivered I not only saw the powerful impact of group programmes, I learnt more about myself from them too.
In 2018, I was no longer able to train that particular programme and so I started to float the idea of designing my own programme to deliver.
It has grown and evolved since then but the ethos and aim remain unchanged:
Help people to understand themselves and be a better version of themselves.
In 2019 I created my own self-development programme called 'THRIVE' and have enjoyed all the elements of bringing people together and working with them as a group.
I have since expanded on the topics delivered in 'THRIVE' to help participants explore different approaches to help them live the life they want and also run 'RISE' and 'FLOURISH' programmes once a year.
The weekly group workshop allows the group to come together and learn and reflect. The challenge to change, and taking those steps of change needs to come from you. You will, however, have support from the group, guidance from me, and the accountability of the workshops each week to help check in on your progress.
What is included in the RISE programme?
12 Activity workbooks with an explainer video/audio for each topic
12 Live and Interactive Group Workshops
12 Workshop recordings
12 Workshop presentations
Additional resources for each topic
Access to a private WhatsApp group to communicate with the group
Access to all content on the website (away from social media)
Access to my guidance and support daily.
Optional add-ons:
There are packages available which can include other programmes, coaching, and the Phoenix Community Membership. This may change so please visit the website to see what is currently on offer.
What do the modules include?
There are 12 modules in total. For each module, there is an activity sheet, an explainer video/audio and a weekly interactive workshop. The video is bitesize. It is an introduction to the topic and an overview of your activities for the week. The workshops are held every Wednesday and will start at 1930hrs GMT. The main content will be for 60 minutes with 30 minutes for discussion and check-in. The workshop will be recorded and uploaded overnight so that if you miss a workshop you can still have access to the content quickly.
It is recommended that you attend the workshops however we know that life can sometimes have other ideas.

How much does it cost? Your investment to join the programme is £499. This includes the full 12 weeks of support whilst you are on the programme and lifetime access to the content. There is an option to pay in 3 instalments.
How does the price compare to other programmes?
Programmes can vary in price and since more companies have created courses and programmes online, the options, and in some cases, the price, have increased.
Feedback from participants at the end of the programme is that the programme is good value for money and that the tools they learned and the confidence they have gained have been life-changing. Many participants share that they have made significant changes in their lives and are much happier and fulfilled as a result.
A group programme is often someone's first experience with self-development training or coaching. For many participants, this is their first step into this world and therefore it feels like a huge step to take. I want to make this as comfortable as possible for people.
The content is 'need to have' not 'nice to have' and so my intention is, therefore, to make this as accessible as possible in terms of financial investment, time investment and the logistics of travelling, dependent care, and use of online tools.
"Working with Phoenix Coaching has helped me improve ME, improve my life, and improve my future"
Who is this Programme for?
The Programme is not for everyone and I only want you to sign up if it’s right for you.
This is not just about learning, it is about actively making those first steps of change.
It will not be easy at times.
There will be times of reflection and for you to be truly honest with yourself.
There will be times when the change is uncomfortable and challenging.
What I can guarantee is that I will do all I can to ensure that you get what you need from the programme.
What I need from you to help me to achieve this, is to show up, be engaging, be open, and stick with it. Set aside time to read and digest the content.
For every step you take, I will be right with you to guide and support you.
This is for you IF:
You are ready to make some changes.
You are ready to engage with others on the programme and be a supportive member of the group.
You’re ready to be open and honest with yourself about what is not working.
You are ready to take ownership and responsibility for your own life.
You are ready to invest time, money and energy into making this happen.
You are ready to take some steps forward.
You are open and curious about a different way of approaching things.
The possibilities of what you could learn and change on this programme excite you, (even if it also worries you a bit too!)
This is NOT for you if:
You don't feel ready to implement changes.
You have a specific challenge you are facing.
You do not feel comfortable sharing with others.
You’re not willing to engage with others in the group.
You struggle to show up and commit in this type of environment.
How much time should I set aside?
On average it is recommended you set aside a maximum of 2 hours to focus on the activities and 90 minutes for the group call.
This may vary from week to week. Some activities invite you to pause and reflect and others are spread out over the week with a small reflection each day.
There will be some topics that you want to spend more time on and others you may skim over.
If you are someone who likes to digest and spend time on things then please set aside more time so you do not feel rushed.
Can I see behind the scenes?
Before the launch of each programme, I will run a taster challenge which everyone is welcome to join.
#Feel4Phoenix is a great way to experience what the programme is like in terms of the content, the structure and the delivery.
There will also be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions.
At the end of the challenge, there will be opportunities and bonus offers for you to join the next programme before it begins.
Details of the free challenge will be linked to the main page. Click through to find out more.
Who will be delivering the training?
I write and deliver the content. This is tailored for each course to meet the needs of the participants.
A bit about me… I have worked as a Life and Wellbeing Coach full-time since 2017. Before that, I was a Coach and Mentor and a self-development trainer while working for the police.
Since leaving the police I have continued my journey of self-development and have trained as an *NLP Master Practitioner and have completed a year-long coaching programme with a global Executive Coaching Company. I have also completed additional training in *CBT, *ACT and *DBT as well as Nutrition and Sports Psychology. I am registered with The Coaching Association and have regular supervision sessions to ensure that I am coaching to the best of my ability and in line with the coaching code of ethics.
I consider myself a work in progress, I will openly share areas that I continue to work on and whilst this programme is about you and your journey, I will join the openness of the group and share my experiences.
I am a parent. My son is now an adult and living his dream as a professional athlete. I have a lot of t-shirts in my wardrobe of life experience and I also have the training and professional development to guarantee that I am well-placed to support and guide you.
"I really liked the way that Zoe ran the sessions.
They were easy to follow with lots of lighbulb moments throughout"
What ongoing support will I get when I sign up?
When you sign up for the course, you’ll be added to the programme group on the website. You will also be invited to join the WhatsApp group to help you keep in touch.
You will be able to ask questions and have all the information in one place on the website. If you have opted to have coaching sessions alongside the programme you will be sent links to be able to book your sessions at a time and date convenient to you.
How do you access the course content?
Once you sign up, you will get a short email from me to confirm I have received your sign-up.
Shortly before the programme starts you will have access to the programme content and an introduction to guide you through the set-up process and to find out more about what you want to get out of the programme.
Is there a refund policy?
There are no refunds, however, you can transfer to another programme if, after talking this through, we both agree that this was an appropriate option.
Is there an upsell?
The programme has been designed to be a stand-alone programme. You do not have to sign up for packages, these have been created for people who want additional support or extended support.
At the end of the programme, if you want to continue the journey I can have a chat with you about what might be a good next step. There is no expectation or pressure for you to do this.
What results can I expect?
Every participant has taken something different away.
Tools that can be used straight away.
Frameworks that can be used again and again.
Gaining momentum of changes.
Understand themselves better.
Improve interactions with others.
More confident.
Clarity of where they are heading.
"The style of delivery feels inclusive, positive and non-judgemental.
It is a safe space to think, and share, and grow"
Can anything more be said about the programme?
This is not a 'cookie cutter' package. I pride myself in taking the time and making an effort to help people get as much as they can from the programme.
This is different for every participant, so I am committed to helping you get what you need in the way you need it.
How do I sign up?
Click HERE, and if the programme is open for registration you will see a sign-up button. I will walk you through the next steps. If the programme is not yet open for registration you will see an option to join the waiting list.
If not now, when else can I join?
Programme dates are listed on the website. Each programme will run once each year. You can choose the programme that covers the content you feel will help you best and will be welcome to join more than one programme if you wish!
